One Piece World Collection Figurines Volume 09

This set is launched in December 2010 

and its the final set of the volume for 2010 

despite there is new upcoming volumes 

(continued).

A very memorable set, 

this set comprises of characters 

which Luffy and his crew met during the first part of the 

One Piece journey...

It also comprises of characters Luffy met when he went 

to Reverse Mountain..

Grand Line!

The character line up for this set is special;
it includes (from left):

Going Merry (the first ship Luffy received), 

Monkey D. Luffy (holding Strawhat's logo badly drawn),
Usopp, Kaya, Jango the hypnotist, Captain Kuro, 

and giants Dori and Broggi 

(which Luffy and his crew met @ Little Garden)!

Good day fellow One Piece fans... I'm really sorry I have not blogged anything recently because I am seriously 100x cropped up with my work, and its god damn fucking tiring! However, I tried my best to use Luffy's positiveness and attitude towards things, and seriously, it made me felt much BETTER!!!

Well, firstly, before I get to blogging the next set of World Collection Figurines, I would like to express my deepest condolences to all whom had suffered/perished in the recent japan's earthquake, I pray that god will be merciful and let whoever survived to stay strong and continue in the journey of life...

Before the launch of WCF volume 8,
in the same month, Banpresto launched a special set of Halloween Collection
which was based in Thriller Bark whereby the Strawhat Crew met
Oz and his crew of zombies.

Honestly, I thought of this set as super cool!!

WHY?

Since it comprises of ALL the zombies!!!

If you all have recalled previously, WCF have launched characters from
Thriller Bark's series part during Volume 2 and 3,
and this special set make it a whole!!!

ALMOST ALL OF THE CHARACTERS ARE COMPLETE!!!

*November's Highlights*

The long awaited 8th volume of One Piece World Collection 

is finally launched in Singapore

somewhere mid of this month (november).

Really excited when I collected my set earlier last weekend.

This 8th collection consist of the characters based on the Shabondy Islands adventure.

The eight character figures in this current volume includes:
モンキーＤ・ルフィ (monkey d. luffy)
デュバル (duval)
ハコちゃん (hako-chan)
ケイミ&パッパグ (camie and pappag)
シルバーズ・レイリー (silvers rayleigh)

カボネ・キャングペッジ (Carbone Canpage) *please correct my mistake*
バジル・ホーキンス (Verjill Hokins)
スクラッチン・アプー (Sukuracchimen Apo)

There were 2 series of WCF's

launched in
October itself.

One was the regular monthly series
while the other was a
Halloween Special.

One Piece World Collection Figures Volume 07 

was more of the characters 

Luffy met during the first 50 episodes of the One Piece Series.

These characters when seen after going through much current adventures,
could be described as "懐かしい" (very memorable).

This set of characters include:

(from top-left): Monkey D. Luffy (main character of One Piece), 

 Roronoa Zorro (Luffy's crew - he was saved by Luffy during 2nd Episode), 

Helmeppo (ヘルメッポ aka. Captain Morgan's Son), 

Coby (the very first person inspired by Luffy - 1st episode of One Piece),

Kuina (Zorro's opponent  - childhood friend)
Captain Smoker (Luffy met him in Log town in approx. episode 5x)

Tashigi (the marine whom looked exactly like Kuina)
and last but not least, 

Gaimon (the pirate who was trapped in the treasure chest forever).

In September, 

Banpresto launched the very next awesome series 

of World Collection Figurines.

One Piece World Collection Figurines Volume 6,

After the launch of Collection Volume 5 of Shabondy Islands,
this TV Collection series focused back 

on the very beginning of One Piece,
where the series told of
- the first pirate Luffy met and defeated,
- the first time Luffy met Buggy...
 - the story of Shanks and his crew
- the loss of Shank's arm,

and
 - the sea monster which chomped off Shank's arm...

The world collection includes
(from top-left): Monkey D.Luffy (when he was young), Redhair Shanks, Benn Beckman, Yassop,
(from bottom-left): Lucky Lewy, Buggy (small), Alvida, Sea Monster (opps.. i forget it's name)...

Luffy gets to meet the other "rookies"

As the One Piece WCFigures are linked to the actual TV series,

the characters launched are occasionally linked from 

the previous "older" episodes 

to the current ongoing storyline.

The world collection Volume 4 series are 

based on the noctorious baddies:
The Infamous Pirates
"Shichibukai"
＜王下七武海＞

Marine's Seven Warlords

These warlords are actually pirates in fact;
They are given the title of Shichibukai
by the Navy
whereby they are pirates "legally".

 Lauched in July 2010,
these characters include (from left):
Crocodile, Jimbei, Bartholomew Kuma, Gecko Moria, 

Donquixote Flamingo, Dracule Mihawk, Boa Hancock, Edward Teach aka. Blackbeard

Launched in May,

One Piece World Collection Volume 2 is based on
Shichibukai (7 warlords)'s Gecko Moria's island
"Thriller Bark"
!!!

As spooky as it sounded, this set consists of some memorable ghouls

of Moria's crew,

(not to mention)

together with Luffy and part of his gang...

(from left): Set includes Luffy, Chopper, Robin, Franky,
Brooks, Cinderi, dr. hallaback, Perona's ghouls.

An interesting fact about the ghouls are that:

"they can be joined together on the stand 

with Perona from WCF's volume 3."

An uproar started when 

Banpresto released the One Piece World Collection series. 

Released in April earlier this year,

this One Piece world collection figurines comprises of 

the good guys and the bad guys;

practically every character which you have met earlier or in the later part of the 

One Piece Television Series.

WCF volume 1 comprised of rare and popular figures; 

and members of the D. family.

Portugas D.Ace, Mr. 2 Bon Clay, Buggy and Dragon-Luffy's dad.

The 1st set was the most difficult and rarest for me to find
because it was already august
when I happened to realize this collection
(when volume 4 is launched)
and the stocks were already sold out.

I managed to find in one of the toys/hobbies shop and paid $250.00 for this,
since it would be kinda meaningless shall anyone of the characters
to be excluded from the series.

One Piece World Collection Figures Volume 1 is based mainly on the start of "One Piece".
Characters like Shanks - gave him his straw hat
(not to mention that he had saved his life before);
Captain Buggy - the very 2nd enemy whom he came across after Alvida;

Grandpa-Garp; Brother-Ace; Dad-Dragon;

and rememorable character like Mr.2 (Bon Clay) - Luffy first met him in Arabasta, 

then in Impel Down whereby he tried to save Ace ...

and Mr. Infamous Edward Newgate 

aka. Whitebeard.


The quality of this launched series from Banpresto is really amazing.
Although small, they are rather cute and details are quite accurately manufactured
while their features are neatly and sharply painted.
